The most affordable way is to take Houston Metro line: 102 Bush IAH express bus, it picks up at terminal C arrivals and makes a few stops at the cargo center and Greenspoint transit center before going nonstop to downtown Houston. The fare is just $1.25 (50 percent discount for students/seniors/medicaid/disbaled) and it takes roughly an hour to get there, there is a stop on this line is located less than a mile away from the convention center
It's always open
Fast and efficiently. Love how the terminals are split between each airlines which makes it easier to locate your gate and navigate around the airport. It's always clean and smell fresh each time I visit plus the staff is friendly. This is a nice airport to fly to and out.
Place could definitely use better signage to tell people where to go as far as transportation from the airport. Like who picks up where. A tiny sign outside of 1 if the 3 exits isn't sufficient for the amount of traffic. Clean, people were friendly enough.
Mask Required!!! Due to COVID-19 you will move extremely fast through this airport now, You're welcome. The majority of kiosks are closed but, you can find a good smoothie, Wendy's or pizza🙂
Pretty large airport and can be a little confusing at first to navigate but the multitude of signs and friendly staff help a lot. Each terminal has several stores where you can buy a lot of things ranging from food to electronics. The restrooms are well maintained and the walkways around the airport really clean too.
Plenty to eat at in this airport. The facility is well maintained and perfectly clean. One of the cleanest airports I’ve travelled to. It’s also quite easy to navigate in. If you’re coming to HTX you will be surprised to see that as big as it is, it’s quite easy to get around and doesn’t take forever to get from point a to point b. Staff and crew at this airport seem friendly and courteous. We were also able to find some comfortable areas in the airport to relax as we waited for our delayed plane. All in all we recommend this airport to travellers
We had to drive completely around the whole airport 3 times before we finally found Terminal A. The signs are not large enough or well lit at night. Also had a 6am flight but no one working the check in desk until 430a. If you want us there 2 hours ahead of time you should be ready!!!
Pretty nice place. May Dad connected through here on his way to San Antonio. It wasn't a very long connection. He was able to get back on his fright very shortly. Flew down here with Air Canada Jazz for a conference at a resort. Found it pretty easy to get through. Nice job IAH.
I see many people talking on the phone or walking without wearing their mask. Nobody has the courage to tell them to wear their mask. They say we are safe but I’m joy sure that’s true.
Drop off is so easy. I love this airport there is a lot of stores and food courts with bars. For the record I do not drink. The staff is decent. The traffic flows nicely. Now depending on what airline you choose your experience may no be delightful. I like the spacious grounds and floors. I don’t really have much to say but the times I’ve been to this airport the past 10 times it’s been smooth. Enjoy your flight.
Great airport, well laid out and functional. Arrivals and Departures easy to access from parking or curbside. Would love to see more shops in the non secure area but I can't imagine them having much traffic, so understandable.
I fly in here all the time. It's always wonderful. As far as airports go it's one of the best. They prioritise you and your luggage and they don't really be pressing people to move out the way when they're waiting to pick up travelers so that helps.
Love Bush!! Great airport named after a great man. It's been a long while since I flew through here (18 months to be exact!) And I probably won't fly through here for another 6 months or so but I love it here! Great atmosphere, great food, and such a big airport!! It's a great place to fly and will definitely be through here again soon. See you soon Bush!!!
Awesome flights, and a great airport. Great friendly staff. Always enjoy the flight to Houston, and look forward to see family here on holidays.
The TSA agents are rude as ever nowadays there..but they're on a completely different gyroscope I give them a -5. We're all stressed but the lady who I see 3x a week at the United gate is always so awful, to everyone. But I give it a 4 because the people who actually work there in the facility are nice. Bathrooms are always clean, great map layout and the actual staff members are awesome.
This is a big airport, having many terminals and big, multi-cuisine food courts. Foreign exchange counters and taxi service is also available at the airport. United Airlines flights were delayed due to bad weather conditions i.e. tornadoes in summer, and so the connecting flights were missed. But the customer care staff of United airlines at George Bush Intercontinental Airport was very patient and helpful, they provided the night stay in nearby hotels, meal vouchers and the shuttle service.
Amazing as always! Friendly, helpful, and understanding- even when things go wrong. Never had a "bad" layover here.
I have to say that this visit to George Bush Intercontinental was easier & quick. There was no traffic waiting for my husband. Very little people waiting. He made it to the truck without having to guess which exit I was at. I enjoyed it.
My nephew just returned from overseas and will be stationed in the states. I love Bush airport, but it's an hour drive for me and you are able to wait, unlike Hobby where you have to circle around until they come out of the terminal. Happy he is back home!!!
Modern International Airport with great parking and endless dining and drink possibilities. Airport is well laid out with tram and or train to get you to your departure gate.
You can see foot traffic picking up at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, yet it was a SMOOTH process at the United bag check-in!!! We got tucked into our seats without a hitch!
Not bad. Less expensive to fly into vs HOU. Terminal A is super easy to navigate.
Nice airport, but trying to social distance... Major fail. TSR lines are so narrow and tight, you're lucky to be able to put your hand in front of you and not touch someone.
Very lively airport. Many shopping outlets and eateries around. But on the expensive side thou as Texas is anyways one of the most expensive state of United States. I hogged at this korean restaurant serving almost everything u can imagine. They had work/eat station offering free wifi, charging port and place to sit. They have decorated the restaurant like an Indian house on diwali. Security check was strict but swift. Other formalities also were quite fast. Restrooms were neat and clean. Loved this place.
Plan accordingly, make sure you have enough time to get to your gate this is big airport. If you want to eat beforehand make sure you look at the airport map. Dining in at the restaurants take awhile do not sit down at a nice restaurant unless you have time. MAKE TIME FOR EVERYTHING!
Super clean airport, fast and courteous TSA screening, multiple wonderful dining choices located centrally and also near gates Restrooms were immaculate and well attended to..
They really do a good job at maintaining social distancing. Have implemented shuttles in the parking garage to take you from your car to the elevators to your concourse. Parking rate is just 10 dollars a day in short term. Good selection of restaurants were open with safe distancing. Everything was very clean. In such a stressful time to travel, I was really happy with everything they've done to keep us safe.
Staff were very helpful and reasonable. Also check-in and security clearance were quick
Though an extremely nice airport with just about anything you could possibly want while waiting for your flight, but it's all closed.. had to get off the first plane being taken out of service, this is on united but still.. would come back when they decide to open it all and give a much better review
Security was fast and effective. Items were x-rayed and persons treated with respect.
Not enough staff. The place was not busy but we had to stand in line for 30 minutes to get a pass to pick up our 12 yo. daughter. Only 2 counters open for American Airlines.
spacious everywhere. parking rates are good. always clean. world-class all round.
They need to hurry up and complete all of the renovations and construction. During the Pandemic when the airport was not as crowded would have bern the perfect time.
Great looking airport but make sure you are early lines for bag check and security were crazier for the size of this place. Will say that the staff I saw working were doing the best they could, just be sure to arrive with ample time.
Amid the covid scare, we were lucky enough to sit and have drinks and a meal. I, for one am easy to please
WOW!! Lots of food courts, plenty of souvenirs shops and traveling necessities. Clean and well appointed walkways and restrooms. If you must travel aboard an airplane, United Airlines is the one to use!!
I work here, it's alright. The stores are opening now so that good.
Clean but empty, could not buy food or water, all stores closed. Easy pass through security, no complaints. Normally a very nice and really busy airport.
Solid place to go to work or fly out. A little confusing on how to get to gates but they have helpful people around.
As connecting airports go, Bush isn't bad. There is, generally, a nice selection of restaurants and shops. Be aware that the number that are open is substantially reduced as of summer 2020.
Clean. Modern. Spacious. My only gripe is that sometimes it can take a while to get to your gate if it's on a far end of the airport.
It's big but nicely laid out! Sad to see so few people out and about. Obviously, COVID related.
Quiet, I've never seen the airport so empty. Almost everyone had on a mask so that was good. Flight was good, no issues. We flew United
Most of the airport roads are under construction and it's a real mess to get in and out of the airport. It's a real mess, I've never seen this place like this. For anyone who has to arrive or fly from this place, please get there a few minutes before because it's crazy. Other than that, it's clean and well monitored, TSA check on our fly to San Diego with Spirit was super fast.
It was easy to find the first Cell Phone Lot upon arrival. Simple lot with multiple parking spots and portable potties in case you have to go. Picking up our passenger was okay, they got confused inside airport and ended up at an arrival part of terminal, easy pickup, plus with pandemic in full force in Texas, not very many folks traveling by air.
There is only 1 hour or less time to walk from Terminal C to Terminal B of you practically run. No skylink coming in from San Diego. No carts running. No matter what you have almost a ck mile to walk/ run. If you have any handicap like over 70, or cane, you hardly make it for your flight to either Nation Rouge, Jackson, Lafayette, and about 5 other places. Makes me choose another airline that doesn't fly through iah
It's easy to get around. Nothing fancy. Staff is usually willing to help. Security is quick. Enough food options. Clear directions throughout airport. Overall, a good airport.
Bags weren't at the carousel they said they would be, but no big deal. Clearly marked where I needed to go. Construction on the roads outside of terminal.
After boarding, preparing for take off, and doing a once around the landing strip....they then realized and announced they didn't have enough fuel to even make it to Dallas! how does that even happen!? Scary! Then treated is as no big deal. *sigh* expected so much more from this place.
Its a nice airport but my sister and I had the unfortunate experience with American Airlines where our flight was delayed more than 12 hours and we could not get another flight. Restaurants were closed by 4 PM which I did not understand. My sister and I were left with getting junk food from the only thing that was open which was one of those souvenir places.
Most of the staff is so rude at this location. My family and I have been coming here for the past 10 years and customer service keeps getting worse. Today my parents were not allowed onto their flight because they were 50 minutes early and not a full hour early, reason being due to the fact that the shuttles were out of order. That was absolutely not their faults and it was very unreasonable that they were made to turn around and go back home before the plane even got to the airport. Will no longer be coming to this dumpster.
